The new 2023 volume, CITES as a Tool for Sustainable Development, explores the legal aspects of implementing the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Flora and Fauna (CITES) to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. The volume is co-edited by a team of experts, including Michelle Anagnostou, PhD candidate and SSHRC Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Geography and Environmental Management.

Alumni Office Hour: Lessons from Decades of Environmental Consulting

Derek Coleman is a PhD graduate (1974) from the University of Waterloo’s School of Planning. A pioneer in environmental policy in Ontario Planning, Derek started one of the first environmental consulting firms in the province in 1972- Ecologistics Ltd. Since then, he has completed more than 1,000 projects in Ontario and six other provinces over five decades.
