Technical Specialist - Environment & Climate Change at MEDA (Mennonite Economic Development Associates)
Mujtaba Ali is the Technical Specialist, Environment and Climate Change (ECC) at MEDA. In this role Mujtaba provides support to MEDA’s technical programming initiatives, as well as developing strategies; delivering training; providing technical assistance and developing resources/tools as part of the ECC Technical Team. He also provides support to MEDA's international projects and staff. Additionally, Mujtaba’s role includes sharing learnings and impact from MEDA’s ECC Technical area internally and externally and representing MEDA at key external events.
Prior to joining MEDA, Mujtaba worked for the Federal Government as a Policy Analyst focused on climate adaptation. He also has experience working with indigenous communities on climate adaptation strategies.
Mujtaba completed his Masters of Climate Change and Bachelor of Environmental Science (Geography & Environment Management) degree from the University of Waterloo focusing on ArcGIS, Canadian adaptation, urban stormwater management, and environmental governance.
