2027 Entrance awards

Exceptional students in full-time, coursework or master's research paper master's programs starting their studies in 2027 are eligible for the following funding packages. This includes both domestic and international students.

Academic average of 85%+

Entrance award: $4,000 (split between terms 1 and 2)

Academic average between 80% and 85%

Entrance award: $2,000 (Awarded in term 1)

Eligability

Must have a completed application by February 1, 2027 and be pursuing a MRP or coursework-based master's full-time (Climate Change, Development Practice, Economic Development and Innovation, Geography [MRP option or coursework option], Social and Ecological Sustainability [MRP option], Sustainability Management [coursework option]). Applications submitted after the deadline are eligible for funding at the unit's discretion. The academic average is calculated from your last two years of full-time study for domestic transcripts, and the overall average for international transcripts. Students awarded the $4,000 entrance scholarship must maintain a 78% average in the fall term in order to receive the second instalment ($2,000) in the winter term.

KEEN graduate entrance scholarship

Funded by KEEN Footwear, a $5,000 scholarship (split in Terms 1 and 2) will be awarded annually to two exceptional graduate students. The successful applicants must have a minimum cumulative average of 80% and preference will be given to a student who demonstrates leadership and community engagement. Eligibility is assessed through the student's admission application. Full scholarships criteria can be seen on the GSPA website.

Must apply before February 1, 2026 and pursuing Economic Development and Innovation, Development Practice, or Climate Change full-time. The academic average is calculated from your last two years of full-time study for domestic transcripts and the overall average for international transcripts.
