Since starting in this position Trevor has directly brought in or matched municipal projects with over $12 million in external funding for climate change action. He is an award winning innovative professional specializing in complex multi-disciplinary project management.
In 2018, he was the youngest person selected by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) as the ‘10 Best for Canada’ Municipal Innovators inaugural cohort across Canada. He is a growing leader both locally and across Hamilton and is the Public Health Representative on the Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes (CCBFC) Standing Committee on Energy Efficiency.
Most recently throughout 2021/2022, Trevor has been successful in obtaining federal funding to undertake the largest passive air quality sampling program in Hamilton’s history. He is also the project lead and obtained funding to complete the design for a Home Energy Retrofit Opportunity (HERO) program that aims to provide low interest loans to building owners to reduce greenhouse gasses (GHG) and live more comfortably.
In the early stages of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Trevor was redeployed to the Incident Management Logistics Team and created innovative work processes for the distribution, re-purposing and reporting on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure the front-line staff that needed it most had it.
Trevor’s passion for environmental and public health protection started at an early age while growing up in Simcoe-Muskoka and continues to grow with his experiences of being a new father and desire to do whatever he can to make the world a better place.
