Daniel Giovannini, Mitacs

This Mitacs information session will provide details on the Mitacs funding programs for collaborative research and international research partnerships. A particular focus will be the strategic partnerships Mitacs has developed with like-minded industry partners and other organizations across Canada to further support the development and deployment of quantum science and technologies.

Mitacs is a national not-for-profit organization that provides support and funding to foster collaboration and innovation across Canada and the world. Mitacs has delivered research funding in Canada for over 20 years, working with thousands of companies and over 60 post-secondary institutions. The Mitacs funding programs support collaborative research involving graduate students, postdocs, academic researchers, and industry partners.

Mitacs, Canadian universities, and industry partners work together to drive innovation and research in the quantum sector – from quantum foundations research all the way to practical applications of quantum computing. With a network that includes universities, research institutions, industry consortia, and public research centres, Mitacs is ideally placed to enable companies in the quantum technologies sectors to explore cutting-edge applications and to create a vital talent pipeline to maintain Canada’s leadership role.
