Celebrating the Music and Legacy of Iannis Xenakis
The Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC), together with the Perimeter Institute (PI) and the Fields Institute present a two-day festival of contemporary string quartet, percussion, and electroacoustic music, together with lectures and discussion on the impact of Xenakis's work
IQC will be hosting Grains of Sound: A Concert of Electroacoustics, Video and Robotics Performers Saturday, May 25th at 1 pm.
Programme: Iannis Xenakis Concret PH, Edgar Varese Poème électronique, Jim Harley Night-flowering...not even sand, Curtis Roads Sculptor, Pictor Alpha, Epicurus, Arne Eigenfeldt Roboterstück, Arne Eigenfeldt Coming Together: NotomotoN (Richard Burrows and Karmetik NotomotoN robotic performers), Jean Piche Océanes
Ticket holders are welcome to attend a 3 pm panel session, Music and Algorhythms also in the Mike & Ophelia Lazaridis Quantum-Nano Centre.
