A two day workshop on "Coherent Spintronics" to be held January 10-11, 2008, at the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC). It is intended to foster collaborative work on topics such as coherent spin systems, quantum dots, and superconducting quantum devices. Research groups from IQC, the Institute for Microstructural Science (NRC-Ottawa), and MIT are presently collaborating on relevant projects and are expected to attend. Each attendee will give an informal presentation on current or planned work, and there will be ample opportunities for group and focused discussions. Post-doctoral fellows and student researchers at all levels who are involved in these areas will be encouraged to attend.
