Postdoctoral Position

The Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) at the University of Waterloo is offering postdoctoral fellowships in the specialized areas of Quantum Error Correction, Quantum Benchmarking, and Quantum Characterization, Verification, and Validation (QCVV). If you're driven by curiosity and a passion for quantum computing, these positions provide an opportunity to join a leading quantum computing research environment at IQC. The fellowships focus on characterizing, predicting, and validating the operational primitives of fault-tolerant quantum information processing, contributing to the advancement of this dynamic field.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Physics or related field (awarded within the last 5 years)
  • Demonstrated excellence in research, evidenced by strong publications
  • Keen sense for the foundations of quantum information science

Appointment Details:

  • Two-year term with the possibility of renewal, subject to funding continuation and performance
  • Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience
