Biography
Dr. Shunde Yin is a Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Waterloo. Previously, he was an Associate Professor of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Wyoming, USA. He received a Ph.D. degree from the University of Waterloo, an M.Sc. degree from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a B.Sc. degree from Shijiazhuang Tiedao University. He serves on a number of editorial boards of journals such as Petroleum, Mining, and Clean Technologies; he also serves on professional committees for organizations such as the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Dr. Yin and his research group’s research focuses on coupled thermal, hydraulic, mechanical, and chemical phenomena as related to infrastructure, carbon neutrality, and renewable energy.
