Former MME Students startup to US $5.16B market capitalization

Congratulations to Alex Rodrigues and Brandon Moak, former MME students, on their recently announced merger. Rodrigues and Moak started approximately five years ago during their second years and now have a market capitalization of over 5 billion USD. Their company, Embark Trucks located in San Francisco and focus on autonomous truck technology. 

In 2015, Rodrigues and Moak decided to showcase their autonomous technology to the public for the first time. During their public debut, they drove around Ring Road with Feridun Hamdullahpur, president and vice-chancellor of the University. In just after a year, they chose to move from developing autonomous vehicles for the campus, resort toward the truck industry. In the same year, they created their company, Embark.
