MME graduate wins the NSERC CGS-M award

Congratulations to Alexander DiPaola, who recently graduated from MME, has won an NSERC CGS-M award for his research entitled Heat Release Rate in Under-Ventilated Compartment Fires under the supervision of Beth Weckman at the UWaterloo Fire Research Labs.

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) gives out 950 CGS-M awards each year. The purpose of the Canada Graduate Scholarships Masters program (CGS-M) award is to support and assist outstanding student scholars on their research and to help them focus on their research.
