Beth Weckman, an MME professor, was recently awarded the Dougal Drysdale Award for Extraordinary Service to the International Association of Fire Safety Science in organizing the 13th IAFSS Symposium twice. Professor Weckman organized the 2020 symposium in person and this year, 2021, virtually.
The Dougal Drysdale Award for Extraordinary Service honours extraordinary service to IAFSS, the International Association of Fire Safety Science. The award is named after Dougal Drysdale who was a Professor Emeritus at the University of Edinburgh and made many contributions to the fire protection community.
