Clarinet at Grebel

Explore the many ways that music is meaningful in today's world

You can do this through a flexible program combining theory, studio, performance and history. Investigate the "edges" of music including relationships between music and technology, film, gender, or psychology. Travel to England, Estonia or Bali to experience and study music.

Conrad Grebel University College is home to the University of Waterloo's Department of Music and offers instruction in more than 20 instruments as well as vocal lessons.

And new this fall, the orchestra@uwaterloo joined the Music Department.  It remains an ensemble open to students, staff, faculty and alumni, but now students can either participate as an extra-curricular activity or receive course credit. This 60 member ensemble also supports a concerto & aria contest biyearly.
