Join the action with Waterloo Pharmacy athletics
Athletics are an important part of student life at the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy. Each year, students participate in exciting events like the Ontario Pharmacists Association (OPA) Cup, where our teams compete against the University of Toronto in hockey and soccer.
In 2024, the Waterloo Pharmacy soccer team celebrated their fourth consecutive win, and the hockey team secured a 4-2 victory. These events bring out the competitive spirit and team building. Outside of the big games, students also participate in recreational sports like frisbee, offering more opportunities to stay active and connect with peers.
Whether you’re competing, cheering or simply enjoying the fun, sports at Waterloo Pharmacy are all about building community and creating memorable experiences.
Become an ambassador
The School of Pharmacy’s Student Ambassador Program is a volunteer organization for pharmacy students who wish to share their experiences with prospective students and get involved with events at the School.
Volunteering in this capacity is a great way to gain leadership skills (even if you aren’t formally serving in a leadership role), and to expand your confidence and comfort level in working with large groups of people.
In this role, you have the opportunity to connect with faculty/staff, your fellow students, alumni and prospective students. Ambassadors make lifelong connections that will help them to grow and thrive in the field.
