Custodial Services Overview
Service Hours
Custodial Services operates primarily Monday to Friday, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. A small daytime team is available to support daytime service needs.
Urgent Requests
Urgent custodial requests include situations requiring immediate action to address health, safety, or operational risks, such as flooding, major spills, or hazards that may impact building occupants or operations.
- During normal service hours (weekdays):
- Please submit a custodial work request through Archibus. This enables a prompt response and ensures appropriate actions are taken to support a safe, clean, and welcoming campus environment.
- Outside normal service hours (weekends):
- Please contact the 24-hour Maintenance and Service Line at 519-888-4567 ext. 43793.
- Custodial requests submitted through Archibus are not monitored outside normal service hours. Any requests submitted during this time will be reviewed when staff return on the next regular shift.
Weekend custodial services are performed on an overtime basis.
In accordance with the CUPE Local 793 Collective Agreement, a custodian booked for weekend overtime must be scheduled for a minimum of four (4) hours.
For events or additional service needs, please submit a billable custodial work request through Archibus. To ensure adequate staffing and planning, requests should be submitted at least one week prior to your event.
