About the Award
An award to assist a student who has graduated from Renison University College’s Social Development Studies program with high academic achievement, and who has been accepted into the Bachelor of Social Work degree program. The recipient of this award will be known as The Florence Li Tim-Oi Scholar.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this award, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Have graduated from the Social Development Studies program with high academic standing (minimum 83%) and have been accepted into the full-time Bachelor of Social Work program at the time of application.
- Demonstrate a record of community service, with preference given to candidates who have shown an interest in working with elderly populations.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Be able to describe and reflect on their involvement with a faith community.
