About the Award

The Korean Canadian Charity Foundation (KCCF) Award is awarded annually to an undergraduate student enrolled in the Social Development Studies program who identifies as First Nations (status or non-status), Métis or Inuit. Students who continue to meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to reapply in subsequent years.


Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this award, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Have Indigenous citizenship or membership in First Nations (status or non-status), Métis, or Inuit communities as confirmed through the University of Waterloo Indigenous Verification process. Information about this process is available through the Office of Indigenous Relations
  2. Be registered as a student in the Social Development Studies program.

Notes

  • Completion of Indigenous Verification is required to access Indigenous-specific awards, scholarships, bursaries, and opportunities at Renison University College and the University of Waterloo.
  • Students are encouraged to begin the verification process early, as processing time may vary.
  • Self-identification alone is not sufficient to be eligible for this award.
