Members of the regular faculty** of Renison University College, the University of Waterloo, and its other federated and affiliated institutions, are eligible to receive the designation of Senior Fellow of Renison University College.
Insignia: Badge of the College within a circular border of green, upon which is inscribed the name and motto of the College, suspended from a green ribbon.
Criteria:
- The nominee will be a member of the regular faculty** of Renison University College, the University of Waterloo, St. Jerome's University, St. Paul's University College, or Conrad Grebel University College, including faculty serving in an administrative capacity.
- Regular faculty members of Renison University College will normally be retired prior to receiving this honour.
- Normally a nominee that has been a member of the regular faculty of the College will have served Renison University College for at least 15 years.
- The nominee must have made a substantial and noteworthy contribution to Renison University College, to his or her field, and/or to the community at large.
Usually, the nomination originates from a person associated with the College, including students, staff, faculty of all kinds, alumni/ae, and members of the Board of Governors. Normally current or former colleagues of the nominee would initiate the nomination. There should be one lead nominator with additional commendations as appropriate. The nominating letter should state clearly how the nominee meets the criteria above, with particular emphasis on Number 4. The nominating letter should include a detailed resume of the nominee.
** As stated in Renison University College's bylaws (14.3 (a)[i][ed. 2017]), members of the Regular Faculty shall be defined as:
- Continuing Lecturers - Teaching faculty
- Assistant Professors - Tenure-track faculty
- Associate Professors - Tenured faculty
- Professors - Tenured faculty
- Definite term (3 years or longer) Professors, Associate Profesors, and Assistant Professors
