The Indigenous Initiatives Office invites all Indigenous employees and retirees of the University of Waterloo and the Affiliated and Federated Institutions to a virtual social!
All of Turtle Island’s First Nations (Status/Non-Status), Métis, Inuit employees and retirees are welcome.
Let’s gather. Let’s meet. Let’s widen and strengthen the Indigenous community at Waterloo.
This is the second gathering of this kind, the first was an in-person luncheon held early 2020 thanks to Lori Campbell (former Director of the Waterloo Indigenous Student Centre), Chloe Blair from the Waterloo Indigenous Student Centre and the Faculty Association of the University of Waterloo! A regular Indigenous employee group gathering will be hosted by the Indigenous Initiatives Office going forward.
This meeting, and future meetings, is a chance for us to gather, meet one another, create and strengthen our connections that will in-turn create a strong community not only for ourselves but for current and future Indigenous students, faculty, retirees and staff.
When? Tuesday, September 14th from 2:00 – 3:00 PM
How? Please RSVP to email@example.com for a link to the virtual space
