What I would tell my first-year self

As I approach my fourth year in the Accounting and Financial Management (AFM) program, I’ve had a bit of time on my hands to reflect on things I wish I could tell my first-year self, or rather things I wish I knew back then. For any first-year student reading this, I hope it resonates with you and helps you even in the slightest bit. Here goes!

My name is Mischa, and I am a 1A student in the Accounting and Financial Management (AFM) program. Making the transition from high school to university initially seemed stressful and very overwhelming.

 Hi! I’m Matt, and I have just entered my fourth year of the Honours Arts and Business program here at the University of Waterloo. I have worked at the School of Accounting and Finance in previous co-op terms, and have recently returned as a part-time employee. I wanted to take this opportunity to offer some tips for surviving the university application process.
