As technological developments are introduced at an ever-increasing pace, there is a demand for individuals with a strong foundation in science and its implementation in the world of business and government. Decision makers often need to appreciate the underlying scientific issues as well as the economic ramifications of their decisions.
Science and Business is an interdisciplinary plan and is designed to produce a pool of multifaceted graduates equipped with a unique blend of knowledge in science technology and business, as well as, information technology, creative problem solving, and decision-making skills. It is designed to prepare students for a career in management in the technology-intensive global market place.
Continuing in Honours Science and Business, Biology Specialization (co-op) requires a minimum cumulative overall average of 65% and a minimum cumulative Science average of 65%.

- 3.0 units at a 100- or 200-level
- 3.5 units at a 300- or 400-level

- 2.0 ECON units: ECON 101, ECON 102, ECON 221, ECON 371
- 0.5 MGMT unit: MGMT 220
- 0.5 MATH unit: MATH 127
- 0.5 CS unit: CS 100

- Co-operative program requirements (when applicable) that include:
- A minimum of four work terms: COOP 1, COOP 2, COOP 3, COOP 4.
- A minimum of four Professional Development courses: PD 1, PD 11, and two other PD courses.
Additional conditions:
- A maximum of 2.0 failed units is permitted.
- Normally, a maximum of 3.0 SCBUS units is permitted.
Notes
- 100- and 200-level BIOL electives should be chosen to satisfy prerequisites for upper-year BIOL electives.
- BIOL labs may be needed to satisfy prerequisites for upper-year courses.
- BIOL 130L or BIOL 240L is recommended if BIOL 130 or BIOL 240 count as a BIOL elective.
- Alternative program electives may be substituted with permission from the academic advisor.
- HRM 200 and MSCI 311 are recommended program electives.
