Program: Honours Science with a Minor in Psychology
Year: 3
Stream of study: Regular
Pronouns: She/Her
Career goal: My career goal is to become a radiology technologist specializing in MRI, where I can use advanced imaging technology to help diagnose and treat patients!
How I get involved: Besides being a Science Ambassador at UWaterloo, I’m also involved in the UW Stem Cell Club, where we educate people about the importance of swabbing and organize donor drives. I also volunteer at the Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN, previously known as Grand River Hospital) and was part of Orientation 2025, helping welcome and support first-year students
Why I love my program
I love Honours Science at Waterloo because it’s a very flexible program. It allows me to take courses that truly interest me and explore different areas of science. The program helps me maintain a manageable course load, which gives me the time and energy to get involved in the school community, participate in clubs and volunteer work, and build meaningful connections without feeling overwhelmed.
Why University of Waterloo?
I first visited the University of Waterloo on a high school kinesiology field trip, and I really liked the campus and the cadaver labs we toured. Even though we saw the Health faculty, I realized I wanted a broader science and health-focused program. Waterloo stood out to me because it offers flexible science programs, lots of hands-on opportunities, like with co-op, and a strong pathway toward careers in healthcare!
