How I get involved: I love getting involved on campus and helping to guide students through their journey at UWaterloo. eam organizing and planning events for first-year orientation. I first got involved in 2024 where I was a frontline leader for Science Orientation, it was so much fun that I wanted to be more involved in the background work of orientation so I recently had the great opportunity to be part of Warriors O-Team 2025 where I worked with my team planning and organizing events for first-year orientation. I'm also part of an outreach club here at UW called the "Healthy Smiles Club UW" where we focus on promoting oral health awareness through evidence-based research. I also love exploring the different programs that are offered by athletics, I am part of volleyball intramurals with my friends and it is such a fun way to meet new people and get in some physical activity.
Why I love my program
I love knowing the hows and why's of everything and exploring the world beyond our visual abilities. I enjoy the labs we have because we get to apply the material we are taught in lab and explore real world applications from making acetaminophen in first year chemistry to making superconductors in third year.
Why University of Waterloo?
I chose UW because of the diversity and flexibility within the curriculum that allows you to explore different courses and specializations. As someone who was/still is unsure of what I want to do I love the flexibility I have to be able to choose different electives and learn more about different fields within the Chemistry program.
