Program: Honours Science (Biology Minor)

Year: 4

Stream of study: Regular

Pronouns: She/Her

Career goal: Medicine

How I get involved: I play for the University of Waterloo Men’s Varsity Hockey Team and serve as the Student Director of Honours Science for the Faculty of Science Foundation, while also representing the faculty as a Science Ambassador. I work as a Chemistry Lab Teaching Assistant and a Connection Lead in the Student Success Office, where I mentor fellow students. Beyond my campus roles, I co-founded an Indigenous hockey camp in partnership with the university, and I volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters, supporting youth in building healthy habits through nutrition and active living.

Why I love my program

I love my program because its flexibility allows me to complete the prerequisites I need for post-graduate studies while also exploring courses that genuinely interest me. It has given me the opportunity to pursue a minor in Biology, where I’ve been able to study body systems and their functions in greater depth.

Why University of Waterloo?

I chose the University of Waterloo not only for its exceptional academics, but also because of the collaborative and welcoming environment that makes it easy to feel supported and connected. From the classroom to athletics and student life, I’ve found a community where I can grow and contribute in meaningful ways.
