Program: Physics & Astronomy
Year: 4
Stream of study: Co-op
Pronouns: She/Her
Career goal: Mission Scientist
How I get involved: I'm mostly involved with the FemPhys club that has a focus on creating a safe and inclusive space on campus for students in physics and STEM as a whole.
Why I love my program
I love my program because of the amount of hands-on experience we get working with astronomical data and the opportunities to do astronomy research as in PHYS437. The community is so supportive and I've been able to learn so much about physics.
Why University of Waterloo?
I chose the University of Waterloo for their amazing co-op program and that they have an observatory that is used for our astronomy lab courses. Because of the co-op program, I've been able to work at the Canadian Space Agency and get first-hand experience into how space missions are developed and maintained.
