Your University of Waterloo Staff Association (UWSA) has been working closely with the University since 2016 to update our Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). Through the efforts of our dedicated team, and with support and input from our colleagues in Human Resources and the Secretariat’s Office, we have arrived at a draft that we have agreed to in principle.

The vote is planned for the period from July 14 to August 2. If the vote results demonstrate that our members support the updated MOA, a motion will be presented to the University Board of Governors in October to have the updated MOA officially replace the existing MOA. If the vote results demonstrate that our members do not support the updated MOA, the existing MOA will stand.

The UWSA is hosting this consultation session for all UW staff on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 in person (Davis Centre) – We appreciate your support throughout the past several years, and we encourage you to contact us about this or any other work done by the UWSA on your behalf.
