Join your colleagues to learn from each other as we explore the governance structures of the University, where staff have power, and how you can participate.

This will be an in-person, hands-on workshop (with trivia!). We may provide an online version in the future.

UWSA is looking forward to hosting Meaghan Ross (she) from Organizational and Human Development on May 3 and 10 where she’ll facilitate two custom workshops for UWSA volunteers and employees in which we will learn how to plan, run and participate in effective meetings – both within UWSA, and as UWSA representatives on committees working across the University.

The University of Waterloo Staff Association appoints dozens of staff members to University committees to represent the voice of staff. The UWSA also recruits volunteers, a board of directors, and a full-time president to help run the Association. Find out how you can gain valuable experience in any of these roles.

Visit us at the Staff Association booth during breaks in the conference on April 10 to meet the UWSA staff and for a chance to win some great prizes!

We're also delivering a workshop about the Staff Enhancement Grant on April 10, though registration for that workshop is now full.

The UWSA is travelling to the UW satellite campuses this term to get some face-to-face time with all our members!

All staff at the Stratford campus are invited to join us March 13 at 10:00 to get to know members of the UWSA Operations Team:
