Charlene Hone
Charlene Hone joined United College as the Executive Assistant in 2018 and became Secretary to the Board in October 2020. As Executive Assistant, Charlene is responsible for providing administrative support to the Board of Governors and to the Principal. As the Human Resources Manager, Charlene's role is to plan, manage and coordinate all administrative functions related to human resources under the direction of the Executive Director of Finance & Administration. Charlene is also responsible for the scheduling of academic courses within the University of Waterloo academic calendar system.
Prior to joining United College, Charlene gained experience in administration, marketing and communications as a Communications Specialist at a private high school in Hamilton, ON. Charlene holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education degree from Brock University.
Charlene recently completed a Certificate in Human Resources Management and CHRP designation.
In her spare time, Charlene enjoys coordinating local handmade markets.
