Elizabeth Beach is awarded the Cronk-Mastin Scholarship at the Stanley Knowles Lecture

The Cronk-Mastin Scholarship valued at $1000, is annually distributed to a full-time student enrolled in the first year of Geography and Environmental Management who has received a minimum of 80% cumulative average and has positively contributed to the United College community. This year at the Stanley Knowles Lecture, the Cronk-Mastin Scholarship was awarded to Elizabeth Beach who has stood out within the United College community for her compassion and dedication to higher learning.

Elizabeth Beach is currently in her second year of Geography and Environmental Management at Waterloo. On campus she is involved with recreational ballet classes and the Her Campus Waterloo blog. She is very passionate about learning and is working towards declaring her specialization in Geomatics next year. Elizabeth is currently pursuing a co-op job in the GIS (Geographic Information System) field.

Elizabeth was a resident at United College last year where she displayed tremendous leadership skills and positively impacted the student community.

"I am very grateful to be receiving this award, and I am very thankful for everyone I met at St. Paul's (now United College) who made my experience so enjoyable. I'll always cherish the memories of my time there!'
