United College would like to send a warm welcome to Rebecca Wagner who has joined us as the new Director of External Relations. Rebecca grew up in the City of Waterloo and attended the University of Waterloo for a Master of Arts degree. Before joining the University of Waterloo, Rebecca was the Government Relations and Issues Management Lead with the Wilfrid Laurier University Graduate Students’ Association. Prior to this, she served as the Chief of Staff to a Member of Parliament and a Member of Provincial Parliament in Waterloo Region. Rebecca is an avid volunteer who loves giving back to the community and currently sits on the Board of Directors of KW Counselling Services, is a Region of Waterloo vaccine clinic volunteer, and volunteers at Grand River Hospital. She has also run political campaigns and is committed to engaging students in the democratic process. Rebecca is dedicated to building strong relationships, and is looking forward to connecting with campus partners, students, alumni, community members and external stakeholders in her new position.
