Individual Kuali Curriculum Management proposals can be printed to PDF using the Print feature and web browser settings. This may be of value for sharing a proposal with non-users, for example, at a departmental-level meeting.
See How to create an agenda package document for any bulk printing needs, which must be used for Senate-level meetings.
Below are some tips to optimize the individual proposal PDF printout generated by Kuali's Print feature.
- Use the Firefox or Safari browser for best experience (see known issues outlined on home page).
- Upon selecting the Print feature within a Kuali proposal, an HTML page of the proposal will be generated in your browser and will open in a new tab or window. Before you print from your browser, complete the following:
- Below the Changes field, expand the arrow beside "Show All", if applicable.

- Do not expand the information appearing under the Workflow Status; only the current step is relevant. If users want to see the entire workflow history, that is available when signing in to Kuali CM.
- Do not expand the information appearing under the Dependencies header (if applicable); this would cause the PDF to be extraordinarily long in many cases. If users want to see that information, they can sign in to Kuali CM.
- For program/plan records, ensure the rules (i.e., lists of plan requirements) have fully rendered; this might take a few seconds. We want to avoid seeing "Fetching rules..." on the PDF after it has been generated.

- Below the Changes field, expand the arrow beside "Show All", if applicable.
- On your browser settings:
- Depending on the need for the PDF, consider decreasing the scale percentage; this may reduce the number of pages for the proposal.
- Margins should be at least 0.5" in each direction.
- Ensure "Print backgrounds" is turned on. This will allow grey comparison boxes to visually display.
- Ensure "Print headers and footers" is turned on. This will provide a date/time stamp of when the PDF was generated, should there ever be a need to question a difference between what is in the system and the PDF that is included in a governance package. For example, in Firefox:
