Applied Math Student wins Jessie Zou Award

Melanie Chanona, undergraduate student in Mathematical Physics, is a co-winner of the 2015 Jessie W.H. Zou Memorial Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research. 

She was nominated by Physics Professor Robert Mann, under whom she worked for two research terms on general relativity. Melanie also worked with Applied Math Professor Francis Poulin for a third research term on geophysical fluid dynamics.
