Abstract

Finite Volume Methods for solving Hyberbolic PDE's will be breifly introduced through examples and the hardware design of the cell processor which can be found in any store bought PS3 will also be discussed. These numerical methods will then be mapped from a conventional processor to the cell architecture and some peculiarities of designing programs for the cell will be considered.
