In line with Environment’s strong commitment to teaching excellence, the Faculty of Environment is pleased to announce the creation of a new position, Associate Dean, Teaching and the appointment of Dr. Christine Barbeau to this role.
An alumna of the School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability (SERS), Christine joined the Faculty as a lecturer over six years ago. Her teaching approach is student-centred with the goal of promoting curiosity and critical thinking. For the past year and a half, Christine’s passion for teaching has been evident in the enthusiasm with which she embraced her role as the Faculty’s Teaching Fellow and, more recently, the Associate Director, Undergraduate Studies for SERS.
When asked about the new role, Dr. Barbeau said, “I look forward to engaging with instructors to understand and advance their goals related to teaching excellence through projects and initiatives at the Faculty and University-levels.”
Dr. Barbeau's term starts July 1, 2023.
