Stream of study: Co-op
Favourite co-op: Skyjack was an amazing experience for me as I fit right in with the culture and got along with everyone. The work I did there was interesting and I had the freedom to help with the projects I wanted to help with.
Are you involved in any campus clubs?
I am a part of many intramural teams, both during co-op and while on a school term. The intramural sports allow me to make time for physical activity and provides a time at least once a week where me and my friends can meet up and have fun.
Why did you choose to study in the Faculty of Environment at Waterloo?
I chose the Faculty of Environment as the issue of climate change is becoming more pressing. The Faculty allows me to gain insight to many problems that are overlooked or misunderstood by many. It provides knowledge and real-world experience that cannot be gained from anywhere else.
What do you love most about your program?
The co-op program is the best and the topics within the Faculty of Environment are all relevant and important. We tackle real-world problems while considering all sides to come up with a solution that satisfies everyone.
What problem would you like to solve?
A problem that I would like to solve is the lack of definition for corporate sustainability. Across many industries the term corporate sustainability gets thrown around a lot but it is a very vague and misunderstood term. My goal is to standardize sustainability accounting practices that can be applied to many corporations and is a universal term known to all.
