Year: 2

Stream of study: Co-op

Career goal: My career goal is to work as a transportation planner or with GIS. I was able to work at the Ministry of Environment this summer, outside of co-op, and it was a great experience just being exposed to working in the government.

Are you involved in any campus clubs?

Yes I am a member of the UW Makeawish club and I write for the Imprint.

Why did you choose to study in the Faculty of Environment at Waterloo?

I chose to study Planning because it looks at how we form our cities in a variety of ways from land use to transportation to urban design to community engagement.

What do you love most about your program?

My favourite thing about my program is learning all the different aspects of Planning because they're all critical to every planner, as well as a variety of technical skills such as GIS, SketchUp, Illustrator etc.

What problem would you like to solve?

I would love to solve the problem of improving public transportation in the region. I think it's a major problem as the GTA and surroundings areas have been growing.
