The University of Waterloo’s Games Institute as well as the IMMERSe Research Network is proud to host a MetaFandom Unconference on Thursday, September 18th and Friday the 19th. Unconferences are gatherings of interested scholars and experts, where they have informed conversations on a particular topic fandom and fan studies, in this case!

Brian Cullen’s You Are Not a Banana game is now available to buy on Desura ($2.99 USD). The game has a average rating of 7.4/10 and has drawn a lot of positive feedback.
Rachel and Paul Pridham, two of the three people responsible for the game EGGNOGG; developed by Kitchener indie studio Madgarden (http://madgarden.net/about/) will be making an appearance at the PLAY event this weekend around 6pm. Recently, EGGNOGG was nominated in a number of categories at the 2014 Canadian Video Game Awards, including "Best Indie Game" and "Best Casual Game".
