Thursday, March 19, 2015

Pascaline Lorentz
As her internship with the Recreation and Leisure Studies department at the University of Waterloo comes to a close, Dr. Pascaline Lorentz will be presenting her nascent project entitled: "Creating a Better Life Experience with Video Gaming".

Join us in supporting her on Wednesday, March 25th from 2PM-3PM in LHN room 2703 on the University of Waterloo campus.

Pascaline is a Postdoctoral fellow member of the Games Institute, and presented at our monthly Brown Bag session in February. She has her PhD in Sociology and is a Postdoctoral Researcher working on online gaming at the Institute for Research on Children, Youth and Family at Masaryk University in Brno, the Czech Republic.

On March 25th, she will be starting her presentation with glimpses of her previous research in video gaming, followed by a discussion of her activities in Waterloo.

Her time in the REC department has increased her understanding of 'leisure' and has also yielded further research questions. She hopes to address these new research opportunities in the future and is seeking critical mind-sets from her audience to improve her initial thoughts on her project.

Join the GI team in supporting her during this presentation sponsored by the Recreation and Leisure Studies department!
