ASSA ABLOY provides reliable security and cutting-edge biometric technology to customers in a range of industries including businesses, governments, airports, hospitals, schools and more.
ASSA ABLOY is the recipient of the Employer Impact Award for Impact in International Excellence because they offer a collaborative cross-cultural environment for co-op students. Students are encouraged to collaborate across business units and across markets to build intercultural effectiveness and communications skills among others.
The Odette Cancer Centre (OCC) is led by Dr. Edward Chow and is part of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. They offer a comprehensive cancer program committed to optimal, evidence-based and tailored cancer treatment plans.
Odette Cancer Centre is the recipient of the Impact in Research award in recognition of the opportunities they provide for students to lead and support cancer research and clinical trials. Students value the opportunity to work directly with cancer patients and to help improve their quality of life while building their own research skills.
Polar provides creative advertising technology to media agencies and publishers. With more than 200 clients in 30 countries, their social display product makes it easy for advertisers to repurpose their social ads as paid display ads.
Polar is the recipient of the Impact in Student Experience award in recognition of their success in offering students a supportive community through things like training and professional development. They work to provide students with opportunities to collaborate on meaningful, real-world projects.

WISE is the recipient of the Impact in Sustainability award for hiring students to work with a global network. They enable students to collaborate with international partners and help establish clean energy access for developing communities.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
