Hiring a non-co-op student? Here are a few examples of the subsidies and funds that are available as incentives when hiring a new employee.

ECO Canada Wage subsidy program

Amount: Up to 50% of a new employees wage

Who can apply: Employers who work in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or natural resources are are looking to hire new full-time environmental jobs. This program may be used to fund multiple new positions.

How to apply: Visit the ECO Canada website and submit an application form.

Application due date: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until funding runs out for the year.


Graduate Enterprise Internship

Amount: Up to 50% of a new employees wage

Who can apply: Small to mid-sized employers hiring recent graduates in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics programs. There are a variety of funding opportunities to apply to.
