Waterloo Experience (WE) Accelerate Project Submission Form

For the WE Accelerate program, we are seeking real-world projects that allow students to leverage the skills they will acquire through industry-led skill development.

If your organization has projects that align with the skills that students will be learning and meet the requirements below, we invite you to submit this form. Once you fill out the form, a staff member will contact you to collect any additional details and answer any questions you may have.

Stream choice

What stream are you submitting a project for?

Project location

All projects must be completed remotely. Please confirm that you are able to meet this requirement.
Number of student teams required

Typically it is one team of 6 students for one employer, however if you wish to request more than one team, indicate below.

Technology expense reimbursement

Agreement

WE Accelerate project requirements:

  • Each project will be assigned one or more teams of approximately six students to complete assigned work (depending on the scope of the project, you may support multiple teams).
  • Each project must involve a time commitment of 120 hours of work per student across 5 weeks from March 2 - April 3 (approximately 25 hours a week).
  • Each project must have a contact person assigned by the industry collaborator to provide guidance, supervision and feedback to students throughout the duration of their project work.
  • Each project must involve a final deliverable to be assessed by the industry partner, with overall feedback provided to the students in the form of a project evaluation.
  • Each project must be able to be completed remotely.
