What is WaterlooWorks?

WaterlooWorks is our centralized recruitment, interview and hiring platform. You need an account to post a job on the WaterlooWorks job boards and to participate in our full-service co-op recruitment process. WaterlooWorks connects you with your service team and guides you through co-op work term milestones.

For more information about WaterlooWorks, please visit our WaterlooWorks help main page.

You will need to register for a WaterlooWorks account if:

  • You are a new employer who has not previously registered or hired through WaterlooWorks for your current organization.

  • You are responsible for hiring students in your organization. Even if you will not be supervising them, you can still own the account and change the contact information to the supervisor later.

You will not require a registered WaterlooWorks account if:

  • You are supporting the hiring process but are not the main hiring contact. There can only be one registered hiring contact associated with each posted position.
  • You only require access to an interview schedule. The registered hiring contact can provide you with a copy of the schedule.
  • You are supervising a student on their work term but are not responsible for managing the hiring process. The registered hiring contact can update the contact information for a specific work term, if necessary.
  • You are supervising a student on their work term and require access to their Student Performance Evaluation form. The registered hiring contact can forward you a link to the form.
  • You will be managing your hiring independently on your own website. If you hire a University of Waterloo co-op student, we’ll create an account for you when we register the work term for credit.
