Monday, May 17, 2021

Bronwyn Forrest, Paolo Dominelli and Beth Weckmanwere recently granted a 2021 Catalyst Grant from the Network for Aging Research to study specific concerns related to the impact of fire gases and smoke on the ability of elderly and mobility impaired occupants to egress from burning structures. They are one of five teams that received the 2021 Catalyst Grant this Spring.

The Network for Aging Research (NAR) was founded in 2014 in response to the University of Waterloo Strategic Plan (2013). In the Strategic Plan, aging was one of three research fields with the greatest potential in the future. The University of Waterloo decided to assist the researcher in the field of aging by providing monetary support and a platform for researchers to present their research.

Congratulations to Bronwyn Forrest, Paolo Dominelli and Beth Weckman!
