Congratulations Dr. Norman Zhou, winner of a prestigious Synergy Award for Innovation from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), a prize that comes with a $200,000 research grant.
Professor Mike Worswick, co-Director of the Forming and Crash Lab, has received the Auto/Steel Partnership (A/SP) Award of Excellence in the Key Collaborator Category, recognizing the Lab’s extensive collaborative research with A/SP. Read the full news release
The Distinguished Professor Emeritus/Emerita designation is made to faculty members who have had a distinguished record of service in teaching and research in the University. The honorary award is granted upon, or shortly after, retirement.
Dr. Jacqueline Noder recently completed a PhD in mechanical and mechatronics engineering. She previously did a master’s in engineering at Waterloo.
Noder’s research focuses on formability characterization and prediction with through-thickness strain and stress gradients. Her research interests extend to the practical application of sheet metal forming and machining.
The University of Waterloo announces, with deep sadness, the death of Harsimran Darhan. Harsimran was a fourth-year mechanical and mechatronics engineering student.
