Waterloo’s Formula Hybrid racing team edged out other top university race cars at this year’s Formula Hybrid International Competition taking first place overall in the competition.
Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering's very own graduate student, Elahe Jabari, has been chosen as one of the top ten University of Waterloo finalists for the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition.
We encourage everyone to cheer on Elahe during the final competition which will be held on Thursday, April 2, from 2:30 until 4:30 p.m. in the Humanities Theatre, Hagey Hall.

Six students are honoured as the top co-op students in their Faculties at the University of Waterloo
A Waterloo student who co-founded an oil and gas startup has won a national award for best co-op student of the year in Canada. He is among six students who received the University of Waterloo's top award for co-op students in their Faculties.
Professor Kyle Daun has been awarded a Humboldt Research Fellowship. This is a monetary award given to an outstanding academic to continue his/her research in Germany for a period of up to 18 months.

SAE Baja team attended the competition at El Paso, Texas during April 24 
to April 27 Since it was a long drive (3100 km), team left Waterloo on April 18and arrived there on April 23. They are currently on the way back (Louisiana yesterday). 11 members including myself (4 ME 4B, 2 MTE 3B, 1 ME 2A, 1 ME 1A, 1 Nano 1B, 1 Master, 1 Professor) attended.
