This award was established by Bea Abbott, a Renison alumna and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Social Work, to serve as a beacon encouraging students who are interested in pursuing a social work career. This award is available to an upper-year Social Development Studies or full-time Bachelor of Social Work student. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to community service, with preference being given to mature students.
To be eligible for this award, a student must:
- be registered at Renison University College
- demonstrate a commitment to community service
- show financial need
- preference will be given to mature students
