About the Bursary
This bursary was established in 1997 by the Renison Academic Student Council to recognize community contributions and involvement within the College, combined with academic merit.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be registered in a Renison program: Social Development Studies, Bachelor of Social Work, or Master of Social Work.
- Be enrolled in at least two Renison courses during the term in which the award is offered.
- Maintain a minimum overall grade point average of 75%.
- Demonstrate commitment to community service within Renison University College.
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- Must meet one of the following residency requirements:
- Have resided in Ontario for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the start of their post-secondary studies; or
- Have a parent, step-parent, legal guardian, or official sponsor who has resided in Ontario for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the start of the applicant’s full-time post-secondary studies; or
- Have a spouse who has resided in Ontario for at least 12 consecutive months (and who was not enrolled in full-time post-secondary studies during the past 12 months)
