Shikha Gandhi recently joined Vela Software Group as the Carina Portfolio Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. In this role, she is responsible for the financial oversight of Carina’s 10 business units, integrations, special initiatives, and shared services, including IT and real estate.
Prior to Vela, Shikha was at Purolator Inc. where she held the position of Vice President, Finance Excellence. She was responsible for the modernization of finance teams, processes, and technologies to better enable the sustained and continued growth of the organization. She also oversaw the customer contracts team, corporate accounting, tax, internal controls and treasury as well as payroll, billing, AR, and AP. In her last two years at Purolator, she also served as Co-chair of the Diversity Inclusion Leadership Council, putting together a strategy and roadmap for the company’s DEI journey.
Shikha also spent over 15 years at Deloitte dealing with complex accounting, finance function improvements and transaction readiness. She helped global clients of all sizes plan, execute and leverage disruptive events including mergers and acquisitions, divestments, IPOs and restructures or new business models, with the mission to enhance the execution and minimize risk of these complex endeavors. She holds a Master of Accounting from the University of Waterloo, is a CPA, CA as well as a Certified Executive Coach from UC Berkely. Shikha was named the SAF Young Alumni Awarded winner in 2010.
