As an AFM student, in your first-year, you'll complete 2 study terms, taking 5 courses each term. Your required courses for Year 1 will be scheduled for you. Prior to beginning your studies in September, admitted Year 1 students can view their class schedules on QUEST at the end of July.
AFM students have a total of 13 electives throughout your 4 years of the undergraduate program. Most of these electives are available in Years 3 and 4, after you've built a foundation in accounting, finance, and business and explored 2 co-op work terms. Your in and out of classroom experiences in Years 1 and 2 will guide you in customizing your 3rd and 4th years to create your own unique career pathway.
With your 13 electives, you must choose one (or more) Career Interest Specializations:
- Professional Accountant Specialization
- Business Analytics Specialization

- Financial Leadership Specialization
- Financial Markets Specializations
You may also work toward optional certificates, a minor, take general interest courses.
