Family Day at the Earth Sciences Museum

Come visit the Earth Sciences Museum on Family Day!

The Museum will be open to the public from 10:00 - 2:00 on February 20th for Family Day. Feel free to drop in and explore our activity tables, touch dinosaur fossils and view mineral exhibits. Activity tables will be open to kids of all ages. No registration required, free admission and activities.

Activities include:

  • Make and take a Dino Puppet
  • Minerals in your Materials
  • Dig for Fossil Fish
  • Dino Fossil Exploration
  • Scavenger Hunts with prize giveaways
  • Chemistry mix and match solutions
  • Learn all about frogs- identify species, explore life stages, and see their insides

While you're on campus, we encourage you to visit our friends from LAUNCH and the Institute for Quantum Computing, who are also offering family-friendly activities over in the Quantum Nano-Centre.

Parking and Walking Directions

If traveling by public transit, get off at the University of Waterloo stop, and follow the red dotted line to EIT.

If traveling by car, park in lot C ($5 charge, change or credit), and follow the red dotted line or the road to EIT.
